Fusen Banzhi Trio
A place where poetry becomes music,
and music becomes the language of the heart.
Wulai, New Taipei City, Taiwan
Hot springs, cuisine, music, the body, and the hands.
Wulai is where the Atayal people
came to rest after the longest journey.
It is the child who walked the farthest,
carrying mountains, rivers, memory, and time
within the quiet of its footsteps.
Through the turning of the years,
Fusen has built here
a new and beautiful place for the heart to dwell.
Fusen Banzhi Trio begins with the ancestral stories
of the people of this land—
their origins, their time, their encounters.
And here,
your story and mine
become a little book of poems,
written in the language of water,
food, music, the body,
and the hands that remember.
